Meet The Doctor

David Fenton, DDS, MD, FACS
Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Fenton is originally from Detroit, Michigan. He is married and has two young children.

Dr. Fenton received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan. He then received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry followed by completing a six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) residency at the University of Connecticut, where he also obtained a Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Fenton received excellent surgical and medical training not only in OMS, but also in other areas such as adult and pediatric medicine, anesthesiology and general surgery. Dr. Fenton is Board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and maintains the prestigious status as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. 

Additionally, Dr. Fenton maintains an active role in organized dentistry and education. He currently holds national leadership positions in the American Association of OMS, and state leadership positions in the Connecticut Society of OMS.  Dr. Fenton is active in political advocacy as the Connecticut State Chairman of the OMS Political Action Committee for Federal lobbying efforts, and an Action Team Leader for the Connecticut State Dental Associations Committee on Legislative Affairs for local lobbying efforts. Locally, Dr. Fenton  organizes and hosts a dental profession study club that includes a group of Dentists with a variety of backgrounds and specialties. Finally, Dr. Fenton actively supervises and teaches the University of Connecticut Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents and dental students as Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
